Itching

For the past 4 days I have been itchy all around my vulva. It gets especially bad at night and can sometimes wake me up. I get so itchy that I can’t think about anything else. I try not to scratch it, but sometimes do, so I am not sure if the redness is from irritation from me scratching or from the source of irritation. I don’t know if I should go to the dr or if I can use anything over the counter to help me. I tried dermaplast, but it only made down there burn for a little while and still itch. Does anyone have any advice?
