8 weeks postpartum period?

Hi all! I’m almost 8 weeks postpartum and very confused about if or when I’m supposed to get my period? I had a C-section and I bled for only about 2 weeks after. Then at 5 weeks I started bleeding again for about a week and just today I started bleeding again. I’m exclusively breastfeeding and back on the pill again. I’m not sure if this is my period or if it’s spotting? I’ve heard while breastfeeding that you don’t get a period for a while?

Breastfeeding can delay the return of your period. Some people get theirs back quick some have theirs delayed till they wean. There’s a lot of variation. 
Also lots of people stop having their period on the minipill because it’s continuous hormone and there is not placebo week to induce bleeding. 
But bleeding past 6 weeks for anyone could be your period regardless of your breastfeeding or not. But it also could be a last bit of postpartum bleeding. It’s hard to really tell you.

Answer

I started my period at 7w pp and got it every two weeks (bc of the pill). Once I got off the pill, my period regulated. I also ebf.
