Hernia or belly ring scar tissue??

Hi ladies. I'm 15 weeks pregnant and this morning I noticed a bulge above my belly button. I had it the first few weeks of pregnancy but it wasn't as noticeable. At first I thought it might be a hernia bc i had a horrible pain there a few weeks ago but it went away. I think that mightve been due to indigestion. I have really bad digestion issues. The bump feels kind of hard. My husband said since I'm getting bigger it's probably pushing the scar tissue out. I had a belly ring many years ago but I had I had to take it out bc it didn't heal right and it almost got infected. I'm wondering if it's a complication from that. I've never had issues with it until now. Has anyone had a belly ring and experienced this before? I just hate that my belly button looks ugly and deformed now :( but as long as my baby is OK that's all that matters. I'll live with an ugly bumpy belly button until my baby is born.
