Black Hairy Tongue or Thrush?

UPDATE: Not thrush!!! Used a tooth brush to gently scrape baby’s tongue and turns out it was black/grey lint from my shirt/bra. See pic below. 
My baby is 7 weeks old and exclusively breastfed. (No bottles of pacifiers) I just noticed her tongue is discolored. With milk residue however it’s turning blackish/greenish?? My nipples don’t hurt/burn/itch and she doesn’t have any residue or bumps on other areas of her mouth and she’s not in any pain. We have a doctors appointment Friday but I’m not sure if I should bring this up as an urgent matter now? I was also told by the pediatrician I didn’t have to wipe her tongue after feedings. Don’t know how true that is? TIA

Definitely appears to be thrush. As someone else mention try to wipe it off, if it stays there it’s more than likely thrush. My daughter had it at about 6 weeks and was primarily breastfed.

Definitely looks like thrush my first baby had that too and she was exclusively breastfed xx I'd just phone your Dr and say you've noticed it and if you could maybe bring your appointment forward? Good luck mumma

My LO is the same. Thanks for the update. I’m definitely going to try to use a baby toothbrush on her too. Crossing my fingers it’s not thrush as well 🤞🏼

Yeah possibly. I was told you’re supposed to try to wipe and if it doesn’t come off then that’s thrush.
