Covid Vacine - yay or nay???

Question

So if your body is already more at risk does the Covid vaccine which lets your body create its own defence against Covid make sense???
I can’t decide. I’m so worried as I have lupus and I can’t seem to get anyone giving me a straight answer.
Have any women on here had it already????
Would appreciate hearing people’s experiences.

I got both doses a month before I got pregnant. We were TTC but I work in a very high exposure environment. I have a 2.5 year old and a husband with severe asthma.
I mostly got the vaccine to prevent bringing Covid home to my family. My doctor supported my decision.

I’m 19 weeks pregnant and got the Johnson and Johnson shot. It was an easy decision for me. I spoke to my doctor thoroughly about it. The risk of covid while pregnant was too much of a risk in my opinion.

I am diabetic and high risk and got my first dose without hesitation. Better than getting actual Covid. And you can also discuss this with your doctor as well. My doctor highly recommended it for me.

I got my 1st shot of moderna before I got pregnant was recommended not to get second dose. My body didn’t take the 1st one very well.

I've read a lot of medical journals and talked to doctors and obs about getting the vaccine while pregnant. They all recommend getting it as soon as you're eligible. There has not been a single case of pregnancy or birth side effects due to any of the 4 main vaccines available in North America. The risk of harm from covid-19 is significantly higher than the risk from the vaccine. I won't be eligible until around May but I'm absolutely going to get whichever vaccine is offered to me when my number is called.

personal preference i would not. do some research for yourself and really dig around for the research. especially if you're pregnant or wanting to be pregnant.

I got my first dose at 11 weeks, second dose this week at 14 weeks. It is definitely a personal decision but I am feeling so much less anxiety now. The anxiety I was feeling about getting Covid while pregnant was really stressing me out. Although the vaccine isn’t 100% effective at preventing all cases, they are effective at preventing severe cases. For me the rewards outweighed the potential/unknown risks.

I got it! Had a headache the next day and a hell of a sore arm, but that was it. So worth it to help get this damn situation over with for everybody
