Would you leave your kids home alone during potentially dangerous weather?

I made a post about this cause my SIL left her 2, 6, 14, and 16 year old home alone during a tornado watch and severe thunderstorm. I think that is messed up, but I've noticed that some disagree with me. What do y'all think? Is it okay to leave your kids home alone when there is a potential for a tornado or a tree branch breaking a window? I just moved here in September from Florida so I've never experienced a tornado, but I don't think you should leave your children alone when the weather is this bad. No matter the age

Maybe. If my 14 and 16 year old know exactly what to do if it turns into a tornado warning and are trust worthy enough with the littles.
But I’d say typically no. 
However, I also know from growing up in tornado alley that sometimes severe weather creeps up on you out of no where and the kids are alone and you had no idea it was coming.

A 2 year old!! Hell no. Not even my 6 year old!
Maybe ill leave the 14 and 16 year olds but I live in cali and we don't have tornadoes.
And I might leave my 14 year old and 16 year olds alone depending on how mature they are because sometimes you can't trust your kids alone in the house 😩

No I wouldn't ever, just because of the simple reason that I wouldn't be able to live with myself if anything is to happen and I wasn't there to help.

No! Definitely not!!! Not a chance!!!! These days we have enough warning to know that we need to make plans for our children if we can’t be home. I remember babysitting a couple kids when I was 15 when a tornado warning was issued I was not prepared to be responsible for someone else’s children in that situation. I knew what to do since I grew up with tornado warnings being normal. I was babysitting 3 small children as a 21/22 year old on April 27 when all the really awful tornadoes came through. I was not comfortable being in that situation. I say all of that to say that I would never put a teenager in those situations if I can prevent it.
