Amniocentesis ?

Question

For those of you who’ve had it done , why did you have it done ? What was the medical reason ? 
Do you regret doing it ?
How many weeks were you ?

Answer

I had one done at 20 weeks. We found out at our 20 week anatomy scan that our baby boy had spina bifida and chiari 2 malformation so we did an amniocentesis to get better genetic results. I don’t regret doing it as we were looking for all the information we could get to understand our baby’s situation, but after having to go through terminating the pregnancy I think I have a little trauma from it. But this is a very specific circumstance.

Answer

I had it to test more as my nipt results came back positive  and an amnio can confirm or deny the results I dot. Regret doing it at al still waiting on the results
