I got the Covid vaccine at 27 weeks

**Do not comment if you’re going to be rude or ridicule me because you’re anti Covid vaccine, I did what I believe is best and have no desire to hear any negative opinions**

So I have been debating on getting the Covid vaccine for a couple of months as I work in healthcare and they were made available to us in January. I have a high risk pregnancy, I have been pregnant 5 times and this is the first time I’ve been this far along so of course I was agonizing over this decision. At first I wanted to wait because I was so scared but then hearing about all of these pregnant women who have caught Covid and it was very serious and they end up hospitalized, a few of which had to give birth early and one I know of was induced into a coma to heal... I thought maybe I should get it. I researched and of course I know they didn’t do clinical trials on pregnant women but I learned over 30,000 women have received the vaccine without major issues or damage to their baby. I also spoke with my doctor who believes the benefits outweigh the risks, so this morning I received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. I’m not going to lie that I still have anxiety about it but all I want to do is protect myself and my son. The only side effects I seem to be having right now is body aches, soreness at the injection site and slight headache which may or may not just be because I’m pregnant and I get headaches frequently.

**Update** So about 12 hours after receiving the vaccine I began to feel achy and had some chills. The next day I was extremely achy, I had to take Tylenol to ease the pain and I slept all day long. Today makes it 2 days later and I feel fine, appetite isn’t 100% but I am no longer achy or fatigued.
