Falling asleep independently tips?

Hi! My daughter is 4 months and I’m wondering if anyone has tips for getting you baby to fall asleep independently? Our daughter we have a routine but one includes rocking her. I want her to somehow begin to fall asleep independently, but don’t know where to begin. Thanks!

Our daughter wasnt able to independently put herself to sleep until she was a year BUT we also didnt force sleep training on her because it wasnt an option based on my own opinions of it. Either way you cant really start heavy sleep training until 6m

Have you tried putting him down drowsy? My babe is 12 weeks so we haven’t mastered this yet but I did Taking Cara Babies and she recommends waking them slightly when you lay them down - I just can’t bring myself to wake her when she’s finally asleep!

My son is 4 months old and we recently started doing sleep training. Now we do a full bedtime routine, and he always falls asleep on my boob so he’s asleep when we lay him down but he tends to wake up like 30 minutes after we leave the room. So he’s full, has his binky, is comfortable and all of that but still wakes up. So we are trying to get him used to falling asleep. We do the Ferber method modified a little. You start out in small increments of 3,5,7 minutes when they cry. So 3 minutes go up and check on them, give them binky, etc. just for a minute, then set another timer and go up after 5. For me, every 2 times he cries, I feed him. We’ve been doing it consistently for 2 weeks and the last 3 nights he’s put himself back to sleep. Some people are really against letting their babies cry for long periods of time, and I would never let him cry for more than 15 minutes before checking on him (knowing full well he’s perfectly fine) but that’s just me personally. I know some people will straight up hate on me for it but my baby is happy and healthy and now puts himself back to sleep🤷🏼‍♀️
