Am I just too old or is she really just overrated??

So I don't listen to a ton of radio as I hate the constant commercials and adds so.I listen to streaming music or whatever in the car. That means I don't hear a ton of 'newer' music right away. Was taking my 15 yr old niece somewhere this week and she asked to play me some of her music. She was beyond horrified I didn't really know much if any of Billie Eilish (not sure about spelling) music. She played me a ton if it and told me how popular she is and awards won and blah blah blah. I googled her and yes she is crazy popular and I honestly don't get it lol. She doesn't seem that great...not bad but just another young female making music. Am I missing why she is the new hottest thing ever as I find a lot of her music a bit annoying and repetitive and just don't see what is so special or different about her music. Am I just too old at 26 to understand haha.
