29 weeks but measuring 31 weeks?

Hey guys! So I went in for my 28 week appointment yesterday. I’m 29 weeks exactly today. However, yesterday my dr measured my fundal height and I was 31 cm? On all of my ultrasounds baby girl has been measuring about 2 weeks ahead as well. Does this mean that she will more than likely be here before my predicted due date? Thanks!

I’m the same, measuring two/ three weeks ahead at the 25 week appointment. 20 week scan measured him ‘normal’ with normal amounts of fluid etc. Been told not to worry and to wait for next appt (Tuesday) to see if its balanced out. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

No, fundal height is a very inaccurate way to measure the growth of the fetus. A lot of OBs no longer use it for that reason. Ultrasound is the gold standard.

Fundal height can be wildly incorrect. It’s been wrong for me with both my kids even though they were normal sized/small. I’m very short (5’1”) and eventually my first ob stopped measuring after ultrasound showed everything was normal. My current OB doesn’t even measure it at all and said mine would never be correct because I’m short so where else is baby going to go other than out?

No my first was 5 cm ahead on fundal height and 3 weeks ahead on ultrasound & he did not want to come out at 39 weeks when I had a c-section. He would have still been comfy for weeks I’m sure!

My son was always measuring big. He was born at 41 weeks and three days. Weighed 9lbs 10 oz. I was so hopeful I’d go early then went super late.
