how do people cope with anxiety when pregnant!!!

i’m 7+3 weeks today and i had a scan at 6 weeks and saw the heartbeat and everything looked perfect! i’ve got another at 10 weeks but my anxiety is awful at the moment worrying about the worst situations!

i have been really sick today the most i ever have since being pregnant so i’m seeing that as a sign everything’s progressing? i did a silly thing and used my doppler knowing full well i couldn’t find my sons till later on either!

TIA x

I was on Zoloft for the first 6-7 weeks. I’m now using medical cannabis with the approval of my midwife and psychiatrist. I also see a therapist on a regular basis who specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy which helps me curb my anxiety and depression as much as possible. For panic attacks and nausea, I use the cannabis.

Mostpeople do have some anxiety, that is absolutely normal. Some just deal with it better than others and some peole drown in it. If it is so severe you can not function, seek help. Otherwise know you are not alone and the odds of all Being allright is still much higher than something going wrong.

You just focus on other things and try not to think about the unknown too much. I never got anxiety with my pregnancies until i was past the 12 weeks

Take a deep breath!! It’s so hard but having stress and anxiety is hard on the little baby. Focus on what you can control. Symptoms aren’t an indication of the status of your pregnancy. Try to enjoy it as it goes fast! My midwife said (once you can hear the heartbeat) if it makes you feel better to come in weekly to hear it then they will do such. Try to find what takes your mind off of the worry part🤍

Honestly... I don’t. 😬 I’m 13 weeks and my anxiety is through the roof. I’ve had multiple ultrasounds now and I have a panic attack before every single one. We see baby again Monday and I’ll definitely have a panic attack before. Baby is always measuring perfect, perfect heartbeat everything but with 3 losses prior I don’t think my anxiety will ever truly calm down. It totally sucks but when I finally see baby moving and stuff my heart feels better... until that next appointment lol! It’ll be okay, just try not to over stress yourself as hard as that may be! Anxiety is totally normal especially while pregnant.
