26 weeks pregnant and covid positive?

Hi all
I’m hoping you can all calm my anxiety. I’m 26 weeks pregnant recently exposed to someone with Covid 3 days ago. Her symptoms developed two days ago and she tested positive. I for one developed severely bad sinus congestion and pressure that past two days and over the past day body aches. No fever, no chills. I’m required a Covid test to return to work which I’m going Monday. Other pregnant moms had covid pregnant? I feel as long as no fever I shouldn’t be as concerned? Any recommendations for this terrible sinus pressure? I have had sinus infections before and I know amoxicillin can help it safe to take?

You shouldn’t need antibiotics unless it’s been more than 10-14 days without improvement. The most common cause of sinus inflammation/pressure is viruses, which are not killed by antibiotics. It still could be covid despite not having a fever. I would make sure you’re quarantining and just treat the symptoms for now with over the counter meds that are considered safe in pregnancy.

I had covid and just thought it was a sinus infection, no fever or cough but very fatigued. Few days later I lost my taste and smell. Not sure where I got it from, but I work at a hospital. Only thing that helped me was Sudafed. And I diffused essential oils. Drank Lots of fluids.

So my story may not help much but I DID have Covid while pregnant. Back in December like 2 weeks before Christmas 😭. My boyfriend gave it to me but he literally had NO symptoms ! He only knew because his job tested him because someone had it. For me it honestly was less annoying than a cold. Only major thing I had was loss of smell and taste for about a week & a half. I had a stuffy nose as well. I took mucinex the first 2 days then I was fine minus the loss of taste & smell. Quarantined for 2 weeks & went to Disney world for Christmas lol with a negative test obviously. But just wait it out or schedule a test. you might not have it & if you do it might not be crazy like other peoples. Everyone’s different. Good luck mamas you’ll be fine 💕

I had covid at 12 weeks pregnant I believe, and everything has been great since no issues. Just make sure to notify your doctor because ive noticed on here some doctors want you to take something while you have it. I don't recommend an antibiotic unless prescribed again from doc due to this being a viral thing, not a bacterial thing that can be treated with them. 😊

I have not had COVID while pregnant, but I did have a cold with congestion last month. I'd suggest a hot steam shower, neti pot, and maybe some Tylenol if you're comfortable taking it (it's considered safe while pregnant). Humidifier at night. Hope you feel better soon!!
