How many paid vacations do you get per year at your job?

- Around 15 national and religious holidays, more if they decide to connect a weekend, ex. A major holiday falls on Thursday (or Tuesday) they give you the Friday (or Monday) off so you can have an entire 4 day holiday weekend. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, then Monday is the day off. Different nationalities/religions can have a few extra days off. 
- We get around 30 days for payed vacation per year which are MANDATORY (you have to take them at some point), you can use whenever you'd like (even split them for multiple uses).
Some companies allow additional sick days (won't take away from vacation days), but most companies will grant you an exception if needed regardless of policy.
And pregnancies. About 3 months of paid leave. You can add your vacation days on top of it to get 4 months off work (full paychecks) if you plan accordingly.

Honestly my vacation is extremely confusing and I’ll try and explain it. I work in a factory so their vacation is horrible. Before your first year you get 6 single days however you cannot take them consecutively to make a week. After a year you get 13 single days up to 3 years and one consecutive week. BUT you don’t get all of your vacation at once you earn it by working. So every two weeks I earn 4 hours. So if I wanted to take a vacation in February in the beginning of the year I better have saved my earned vacation from the prior year. The reason they make you work hours for it is because when people quit and have saved up vacation they have to pay you out for it and that’s stupid because it’s your vacation.

First  year 0 just 2 personal days and 2 weeks sick
2nd and 3rd year. 2weeks vacation  2 personal days and 2 weeks sick
4rd and 5th year 3 weeks vacation 2days  personal and 2weeks sick
6th year on 4 weeks vacation  2 personal days and 2 weeks sick. 
 You can build sick day up to cover any extended  leave needed. To cover the 2 months before extended  leave pay starts 
Vacation 1 week can be carried over each year. Personal days  are use it or loss it.

The job I just left set it up that you accrued a day a month. So in order to get any good vacation time you had to save up your time, which means you can’t be sick or miss any time at all for months.  It was tough once I had kids and had to use my time for them too. The PTO covered vacation, personal and sick time. I was lucky that I rarely took any time off and was salaried so if I came in before a certain time or left after a certain time I didn’t have to use my PTO.
