First ER visit. Anyone else have a crazy toddler?! 🥴

Our 19 month old was running around playing in the living room after dinner yesterday. Tripped over his own feet and bumped his head into the side of the coffee table 😭. SO MUCH BLOOD you guys, it was crazy. All over my husband, all over me, down my sons face and shirt. Looked like a crime scene in our house. The bleeding subsided after about 5-10 min and we could see the cut was pretty split open. Went to the ER and they said it could use 2 stitches or we could use glue.

The thing is, we would have had to hold him down and traumatize him with the stitches. They told me stitches heal nicer and glue leaves more of a scar.

I couldn’t help but think of my nephew who fell when he was 2 years old and had to get 2 stitches in his forehead. So traumatizing for him and he ended up playing with the stitches so much that they ripped out and he has a noticeable scar anyway.

Hoping I made the right decision because I chose the glue. Which took all of 5 min just to clean the cut, apply the glue and dry. He hasn’t touched it at all and has been acting completely fine. Unphased honestly lol boys 🤦🏻‍♀️

Was a stressful Sunday night to say the least 😂 I’m also 39 weeks pregnant and my husband couldn’t come into the ER. So here this huge mama is lugging around a 26lb toddler. My repeat csection is scheduled for this Wednesday. Was going to work today and tomorrow but thinking about throwing in the towel after I’m done with work today. This mama is tired 😣

Anyone else been through or know anyone who has had a similar experience with a forehead cut and used glue vs. stitches? Heal okay? Much scaring?
