Breastfeeding/pumping

Michelle

I started pumping after every feeding because baby had tongue tie and it’s what the lactation nurse suggested to make sure my supply comes in enough in case babys suction was sufficient. Tongue tie is clipped. Baby seems to be eating fine. Has passed his birth weight and is less than 2 weeks old. So I started to pump after every other feed instead a couple of days ago... and now it seems like I’m producing too much/oversupply. Baby sometimes chokes and has been spitting up, sometimes quite a bit, after only being on for less than 5 minutes. I’m pumping 3-6 oz each session. Should I stop pumping completely for now (unless I need relief while my supply goes down) until I get close to returning back to work? Or should my pumping schedule lighten up even more?
