Fertility drugs did they work and what are side affects you had?

So my doctor want to put me on metformin or femara any one else on one of these? Any side affects, or if you had success with them? How long did it take to get pregnant?

I have been on Metformin since August. It took me a REALLY LONG TIME for my body to adjust to it (like 3 months) and at first I could only take a half dose. It just made me feel really ill, lots of nausea. But after a few months I’ve built a tolerance and it doesn’t affect me that way anymore. I just have to be sure to take my two pills a day several hours apart and with food. I’m still on it.
I was on Letrozole in December and January. I was a little confused on the timing in November and we didn’t conceive, but I might have ovulated just earlier than I thought I was supposed to. It did move up my entire menstrual cycle by a full week. The second month, in January, I got an ultrasound to make sure I had ovulated and I had! We did conceive that month and I am now 12 weeks along with a healthy baby! No side effects from Letrozole other than shifting my cycle up by a week.

Answer

I did 6 rounds of Fermara. It stimulated ovulation but didn't result in conception. I had minimal side effects. Clomid gave me more side effects.
