Fake nails glued on last long?

Question

I glued on 10 nails yesterday morning and by bed time I only has 2 left on one hand and 3 left on the other.
How long are they supposed to last? I'm sure a couple more will come off today but why?😭

Are you buffing your nails and removing any oil or moisture with an alcohol wipe prior to applying?
Also are you pressing on them long enough to make sure they make an attachment to the nail bed?
I’ve seen them last up to 3 weeks when done right

I can make glue ons last about 7-10 days depending on how I prep my nails first. What I always do is lightly buff my nails, wash my hands, wipe my nails with an alcohol pad then dap a bit of glue on the nail and on my finger, press and hold until it’s dry.

Sally’s (if in the US) has a nail glue by Tropical that is hands down the best glue I’ve ever used. I don’t waste my money on any other glue. I do my nails every week. I’ve had them stay on, all of them, for up to ten days. It’s all about the glue and nail prep. Use alcohol or acetone to wipe the nail clean of natural oils, then use your glue and press your fake nail to your real nail for 10-15 seconds. You will have success!

It sleep ds how much you use your hands, how frequently you wash (glue is water soluble so it’s going to break down quicker), and if they’re longer there’s no structural support (more of the nail is off the nail plate than on the nail) to keep them from coming off. 
Glue ins or press ins are meant for events or short time use, some people can get a week or more out of them but idk how they must not touch anything😂😂

I have had to go back to glue on ones while we are in lockdown as all the salons have been closed since January 🙄 after 7 days or so they start to feel less secure and I’m normally bored of the colour by then anyway so I change them every week.

Glue on nails don’t last very long. At least they haven’t for me which I why I just go to the nail salon and get acrylics.

Did you do them yourself? Maybe the glue was old or crappy quality. I remember the last horrible nails I had to glue on was an absolute nightmare to take off.
