Postpartum Vision Changes ?!

Has anybody had weird things happen to their vision after giving birth?! My baby is 5 weeks now. My prescription in my right eye changed a little and I see more floaters. My eye doc doesn’t seem to think it’s pregnancy related but it has to be!! Anybody else have the same experience??!

Optometrist here: yes it's really common, and the reason why we typically never check patients with babies under 3-4 months old. But be sure that your blood pressure and blood sugars are within normal and that you are eating and drinking enough. Sleeping enough also helps, just not as easy to control yet 😜

Eye prescription changes postpartum are normal. I was told to wait one year postpartum before getting a new prescription.

Yep, with my first my vision changed right when I got pregnant, about 6 months in, then 3 months postpartum, then again when I weaned at 19 months. Thankfully it hasn't changed at all so far with baby #2, I'm 6 months along now.

Is your blood pressure normal?   Are you checking it at home?

I lost vision in my left eye for 3 months.  I almost died during childbirth though.  And my blood pressure was sky high (203/116). I went to a specialist.  I’d do the same if I were you.  I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this.
