As a kid what kind of eggs did you Easter egg hunt with?

I grew up easter egg hunting the colored easter eggs we made, usually the night before. My mom would store them in the fridge and then my brothers and I(sometimes cousins) would all hunt for the eggs the next day. We had our own baskets and stored them in the fridge and we ate an egg whenever.

At my Dads house we used the plastic eggs.

My husband grew up using only plastic eggs and was disgusted we use hard boiled even though they were outside briefly and stored in the fridge its still gross to him.
