Positive HCG test while on my period???

Question

How is it possible to test positive? I got a faint line Easter Sunday and then I got my period the same night. Fast forward now on day 4 on my cycle I was having weird stomach pains so I decided to test again and it’s a positive and it’s darker than Sunday... i am very confused and yes my flow is normal as it usually is. Does any one have any experience or any advice they can share with me? Thank you in advance.

My guess is you likely had a chemical pregnancy. The hcg will work its way out of your system, it just takes a few days.

Happened to me with first pregnancy . It's not a "period" but you can still have a lighter period or similar to one and still be pregnant. It's rare for a false positive so I'd say pregnant 🤷🏻‍♀️

You could be pregnant and what you’re experiencing isn’t your period, but just early pregnancy bleeding. I would wait a few more days and if the line gets darker, go see your doctor.

Retest on Sunday. According to online, if you’ve had a chemical pregnancy you wouldn’t be getting a positive around then.
On a side note, I bled, the day after y period was due. It’s been over a week and my tests are still coming back positive. Mainly the digital tests as they require more HCG.

You could go to the doctor and have them do a pregnancy test.
