Boyfriend wants to get a job

My boyfriend and I live together and have an 8 month old. He's on disability for mental health reasons and gets a disability check. I work at Target. My boyfriend is in therapy and on medication. He changed meds 3 months ago. Well today he said with his new meds and how therapy is going, he thinks he's ready to get out into the working world and get a job. I told him he knows he will lose his disability if he starts working but he's fine with that. He's hoping that working at some place will help him figure out what he wants to do with his life and what career to go into to. This may make me sound terrible and unsupportive but I don't think he can handle it. He has schizophrenia, PTSD and paranoia and yes he's been doing really great, I don't think he can handle a work place setting. I feel like something will happen and he will have a break down. Should I be honest and tell him I think he shouldn't because he can't handle it or just let him do it.

For the person who said my priorities lie in his disability check. Have you ever been on disability or know someone who has? Its not a lot of money at all. He would definitely bring in more if he worked so no my priorities have nothing to do with the tiny check he gets once a month.
