I got Skyla inserted about over a week ago (almost two) and so far i’ve been doing decent! I got it on the spot and the pain was not as bad as I anticipated considering I didn’t even take Ibuprofen beforehand. I even went out with a friend after like nothing (I did have cramping but it wasn’t excruciating) . I feel powerful haha. I’m 19 years old so I definitely do not want to get pregnant right now. I’m quite scared for any adverse effects, but i’m feeling optimistic about this. I’ve tried the shot & the pill already.
