BLW - can eat whatever you're eating?

Question

So they can eat literally whatever you're eating? So if im making pork that was marinated in korean bulgogi sauce it will be ok? FTM and nervous!!

They “can” eat anything you’re eating unless it’s honey or contains honey. 
Popcorn and nuts (not nut butter) should be avoided until 4 due to choking inhalation issues. 
There are specific ways to cut and serve food, especially round foods, and if you’re having something super unhealthy or spicy it should probably be subbed. We keep these veggie bites on hand from Aldi for those nights. There’s like sweet potato, broccoli and cheese, and spinach and kale bites. They come in fun shapes like Dinos and bears and look like green or orange nuggets. My 3 year old loves them and I’ll be giving them to my little as well. (My 3 year old also eats a lot of “unhealthy” food so no shame. Use your own judgment and don’t feel guilty for a lazy night).

I’ve been experimenting with giving my daughter whatever I’m eating, I find my food is a bit over seasoned for her (she is more enthusiastic about simple things).
I think honey is the only no go (along with caffeine and alcohol).
So far my BLW experience hasn’t gone great... she touches and smooshes the food but nothing ingested yet (and we’re up to the 4th feeding I think)

Check out Solid Starts on Instagram!. They also have a website where every food is listed and gives examples of how to prepare it for a child with different age categories listed. I think people saying “they can eat what you’re eating” is over simplified. To me the true part of that just means they can eat food that hasn’t been puréed. It needs to be cut appropriately and needs to have no added sweeteners and minimal salt. It also cannot contain honey and needs to be soft enough for them to chew.
