Best sippy cup for breastfed 6 month old

Question

My 6 month old isn’t drinking water.
She’s breastfed, has no dummy and hasn’t took a bottle since she was 2 months old.
She’s started solids but I can’t get her to drink water.
We have the munchkin miracle 360 cup and I’ve tried this as well as just a cup and I can’t get her to sip the water.
Any recommendations?

Babies at this age can have small amounts of water. Yes, breastmilk and formula at this age are what they should receive but our pediatrician said small amounts of water was ok.

We used these for a while and then switched to one with a straw once he learned how to suck on a straw consistently. With the two colors he gets the choice to pick which one he wants and loves it. We also used slightly warm water at first to help with gas and to be similar to the temp of his milk. We also drink water in front of him and exaggerate how good it is. We will say “ahhh!!” After we take a sip so he knows it’s good. Now he drinks water like a pro and even asks for it.

At 6 months I wouldn’t worry about the lack of drinking water because most of their water intake comes from breastmilk (or formula). While babies can have sips here and there, I mostly introduced a sippy cup as a means of my son getting used to something other than a bottle so the transition would be easier. 
I tried so many sippy cups until I realized straw cups were actually much easier for him to understand (he also used the 360, but I hated how it spilled every time he dropped it). The munchkin straw cup works great because it has a weighted straw so my son could hold it from any angle (he still to this day has issues with tilting the cup lol). He definitely drinks lots of water now at 14 months because of his straw cup!

Babies are not supposed to have anything to drink other than breast milk or formula till 12 months. You can make them nutritionally deficient feeding water at that age, don’t do it!!!

I’d recommend not giving the baby water until closer to a year. It’s much easier for younger babies to get water poisoning! If you do, just be very cautious of the amount you give! But my daughter would never take a bottle, it was just too odd to her. Try doing a solid plastic soppy cup! It gives the child a distinct difference between boobies and the new drink. And just keep in mind that the sweet baby may not be turning down the bottle/supply cup type, just might be turning down the new drink! My daughter hated water, no matter the container, she wouldn’t drink it for almost a month. After that though, she got used to it and now it’s all she drinks at 3 years old!
