I shaved a little bit of my chin and now I'm worried the hair will grow back thicker and worse :( I'm so upset and depressed

That’s a myth. It might seem thicker, but it’s not. After you cut it, the ends are blunt instead of tapered.

It won’t, shaving doesn’t work that way. If it appears “thicker” it’s because Hairs are technically cone shaped so when cutting the top off they will appear larger coming through the skin. I’ve always had great results with shaving, but for course hair I hear waxing is a great option
