What the actual hell
So today I get a call from my daughters preschool that her body is limp, she’s vomiting profusely and her lips are turning blue. She was Perfectly. Healthy when we dropped her off. I rush over there and the principal is checking her oxygen and giving her water.
I notice the classroom seemed stuffy as all the windows were closed. Apparently after nap she vomited her lunch and went downhill from there. I carried her to the car and she kept saying that the teacher couldn’t find her water bottle and that she didn’t have water. Something definitely happened with her lack of hydration. When we got home we gave her water and fruit and sat her down she starts giggling and acting normal. No fever or anything. She then tells her dad that she was choking on her cookie after lunch because her mouth was so dry.
I feel like she was very dehydrated and did not have any moisture and started choking/ vomiting leftover dry cookie in her mouth. Nothing like this has ever happened. I’m not wanting her to ever go back there hashtag mommy instincts my husband is not as worried.
We did not take her to the doctor yet because after hydrating her she is acting completely normal but I’m so upset. We pay a lot of money to send her there too. I don’t know what to do about it.
Edit: I ended up taking her to urgent care. The doctor checked her vitals and couldn’t find any explanation. She’s completely fine now and even went to dance today. My husband is not concerned about it while I’m literally petrified to take her back.
Edit edit:
We live literally two minutes from her school. So I met my husband at the house (he was driving back from work) and since she was responsive and acting fine in the car we were both going to take her. We just switched health care providers so I needed to call first and figure out where to even go. My intention initially when we first got the phone call was to take her to urgent care. However she was fine in the car even giggling and after we got home and gave her liquids was running around the house. I did not see her lips turn blue or see her vomit etc. This was all the schools description. When I got to the school she was talking etc. it was all very bizarre I agree and I would love more info on their part but it’s the weekend. Once I called our health care and got the address for pediatric urgent care we took her but they found nothing and didn’t offer much explanation either.
