Would you go to jail for your child?

This question is based off the show power. It really got me thinking of how the mom for the most part was covering for her son’s crime. It’s a tough situation because no one wants their child to be behind bars.

If your kid committed a crime would you go to jail in their place? Would it depend on their age ? Would it depend on the crime?

Do you think covering for your kid could negatively impact them taking responsibility on other things in their life?
