Teenager- irregular period

My daughter will be 14 in August and has had her period since she was 9.

This year her periods seem to have become irregular. They were never like clockwork, maybe a week or 2 late but she is going on 2 months no period.

She has no cramping or sharp pains, she says she feels fine.

I went to google (I usually never recommend this LOL) and I’m getting mixed reading saying it’s common for teenagers and then also it could be hormonal imbalance etc.

I told her if she doesn’t get it for May then we will make a Dr. apt.

Just looking to get some insight if it IS common .
