Bleeding during foreplay😖

I’m a newbie when it comes to sex so I don’t really know much about how the body should react or if there’s any side effects (hormonally and physically)

My boyfriend was going down on me and fingering me at the same, he’s done this countless times before and it is always explosive! I do like a bit of rough play and sex so it’s always encouraged, and if there is any pain I don’t feel it at all, just absolute pleasure! However on this specific occasion I started bleeding during our play time and it has never happened before and I am completely embarrassed! It was a fair amount of blood and the bleeding stopped a little while after, but I was so grossed out for him that as soon as we were done cleaning up, I just burst into tears!

Is this normal during foreplay?

Is there a way to avoid it in the future?
