Husbands complains all the time

Hello... seeking advice.... my husband is a chronic complainer and so negative. He never wants to spend time with his family and then when he does he says look what I did for you. Today we went to the pool with our kids (first time in years) he layed in a chair and didn’t play or swim or anything but I usually go alone so I was happy, and on the way back I told him I was very happy we did this and I hope we can do more things as a family how it should be, and he got so mad at me and said I’m tired of you nagging me and your lucky I even went and then he went and napped for a couple hours. I feel so disappointed I see family’s doing things together and that what I want but If he does anything for us he says look what I did for you and our kids and acts like we should praise him for it...I feel this is not normal???
