About how many onesies and sleepers do 0-3 month need?

My grandma told me that I have too many clothes so I need to stop buying clothes for him in newborn - 3 month but most of the clothes I have for my son were from my sisters 2 kids that she kept and I want some more cute outfits for pictures that don’t have stains and stuff... I’m not hating on hand-me-downs I do appreciate them but I just want some of the new clothes that are in style without having too many that he will never get to wear. I also do understand where she’s coming from about spending a bunch of money on something that will only fit him for 3 months but it will be like that for the first 2-3 years then they slow down on growing a little and clothes fit them for longer. If you know what a rough estimate of how many onesies and zipper sleepers that I will need without having too many or not enough. I haven’t had my baby shower yet but only close family and friends will be there because I don’t like a lot of people lol I have social anxiety 🙃🤷🏼‍♀️

Also do babies need pants if I’m gonna probably stay at home with him until he builds up an immune system because COVID and having a newborn just gives me more anxiety.😅 he will be born around august 9th and I probably won’t take him around people until Thanksgiving and Christmas even that stresses me out🥲 I don’t want him to get sick.
