My hubby and I are expecting our first baby in October and we have been looking to rent a house or larger apartment. His mother needs to find a place to move because the house she is renting is being sold. In the past few weeks his mother has pressured him into applying for a loan, a line of credit and a credit card to somehow put a downpayment on a house owned by a friend of hers.

So, here's the thing .. I have not been included in any of the conversations about this house or the process of getting it. Never even seen this house before. He just came home from work one day and said he was going to buy a house.

The loan didn't go through, and I dont know about the rest because he seems to tell everyone else about this instead of me .. it's been extremely frustrating because I know he is trying to do something good for us and the baby, but I think it's the wrong decision to jump into buying this house (especially for the price it's at right now, the market is insane!). I dont think it's right for his mother to be pressuring him into such a huge decision because it will benefit her.
