Does this sound like a Blighted Ovum?

So I went to the ER today because I got a stress fracture in my forearm. But while they were checking my arm out they offered to check on baby (I should be about 6 weeks 3 days.)

The ultrasound showed a gestational sac and the yolk but no fetal pole. Then HCG came back and my ER doctor said because last week 4/28 my hcg was at 2700 and my HCG today 5/4 was only at 9000. And I am on progesterone supplements for low progesterone. That it was likely a blighted ovum.

Mind you my hcg had been doubling every 1.4 days and then dropped to doubling every 3.4 days according to this last draw.

So I am obviously devastated and I call my midwife and they say that everything could be absolutely fine and those things don't mean a lot. So im scheduled for another blood draw AND ultrasound next week.

Has anybody had something like this happen? If so what was your outcome (good/ or bad)?

Minor emotional rant: I wish there was just a way to know right now and just kind of rip the bandaid off. Because just not knowing is killing us more than if someone would just tell us if this is another loss or not. Ya know?
