I only got 6 weeks maternity leave since I just started this job in December.  So I didnt get fmla. Im really struggling having to go back after 6 weeks. Didnt know if theres a way to get longer...

I think it depends on doctor ? I have Kaiser but I had to leave a month before my due date because of sciatica pain. I applied for Disability through the state because I too just started a new job in January 2021 and did not qualify through my job. I will be asking for more time because I will have a harder time bouncing back from this one. A coworker of mine said you can also ask doe baby bonding time and helps if you will be EBF.
