May Baby Induction

Had an appointment with OB 5.10.21 they were concerned with baby and the contractions I was having.

Get to LD 9pm on 05.10.21. Well really I was late so quarter after. I go get checked in I’m put to wait before triage. About 10 pm I’m in my room and baby monitor and BP cuff on.

About 11 they come in and check cervix they say it’s a 1 but the OB said it was a two. No split hairs they give me a Cervidil. Supposed to help soften cervix to prepare for labor.

So from 11pm-11am I had contractions. They took the Cervidil insert out at about 3am. I had fluids and pain medication via IV the whole time.

Between 10-11 my water was broken.

Around 12 I had to poop so bad. But I had a catheter in because they just gave me an epidural. So the RN runs to get DR. I went from 2-10 pretty quickly.

1PM it’s go time all the staff was there to help which was nice but super annoying because it was a lot of cheerleaders when you can only listen to one.

In a series of hot and cold flashes and finally pushing my son arrives. Also I was on liquid diet the whole time. By the time he came out I hollered “can I get a lemonade please”!

I tore in three different places. I’m all sewed up. We’re still here I’m finally eating food.
