Doctor is downplaying my blood pressure?

Every time I’ve gone to the doctor to get my blood pressure checked it’s been high . My doctor will not do anything about it. I went to urgent care due to knee pain and the doctor at urgent care was concerned about my blood pressure reading, I don’t remember the number but it was stage 2 hypertension.

I’m 23 years old, I don’t drink or smoke but I am overweight and she said I’m at risk for heart failure. She sent me to my primary care for a follow up and he totally down plays it, saying my blood pressure is high due to my knee won’t prescribe me medication and wouldn’t bring up weight loss until I brought it up myself. Like he’s worried about hurting my feelings or something? I’m changing doctors cause I need to be on medicine and lose weight. And yes my blood pressure was still high when he took it at my primary care. 😒
