Second time mums

My little one is currently 4 weeks and I'm breastfeeding, and I come down with mastitis last Wednesday and saw the doctor Friday and got antibiotics. Im currently day 4 of the course of ABs and my breast is still super sore and my darling has diarrhea due to the ABs. Im just wondering if any of you 2nd time mums have experienced mastitis and if the ABs didn't work what happened? Did you have to go to hospital (thats what my doctor said would have to happen to get IVABs if the oral ABs wouldn't work) and also if you continued to breastfeed? I breastfed my first son until 14 months and it meant the world to me to be able to do that for him and Im hoping to do the same for my 2nd son, but I'm worried if the mastitis keeps recurring that i'll have to stop. I'm coping with the pain of bub feeding off that breast, but I obviously can't live off ABs all the time and I'm more worried about my little fellows bum currently. All he has to do is sneeze and he poos due to the ABs. Thanks in advance 😘. Just a concerned over thinking mother here!
