Washer and dryer?

Question

I’ve always had a top load washer with the agitator do you have one without the agitator? Do you like it and does it get clothes as clean? (I do not want a front loader) Thanks!

I have a Samsung top load with out the middle thing I like it it cleans the clothes very good never had no issues

I just got a Speed Queen washer and it’s the best washer ever! It has an agitator which I prefer because the ones without don’t turn your clothes as well making me feel like it’s not cleaning well enough! But I highly recommend the Speed Queen

My mom just got a new washer without agitator. She hates. She said she sometimes has to wash her clothes twice and will never get one without it again. Also the appliance man said top loaders are better than front loading washers. (I forgot his reasoning tho)

I researched it a bit,  and from what I read it really doesn't increase the capacity of your load if you don't have it because if you add more stuff it just gets off balanced more easily and doesn't wash as well. So you basically still have to load it as though the agitator were there anyway.

I’ve had both and prefer one with. If it doesn’t you have to make sure the clothes are in a circle around the edge or the washer doesn’t drain as well….

Just curious as washing machines with a top opening is close to unheard of here: why top opening, not in the front?
