Coffee??

Question

Anyone still drinking coffee during first trimester? How much is ok to drink? I havent had any since I found out im pregnant on monday and im struggling!

You can still drink coffee. It’s recommended to watch your caffeine intake but you can definitely still drink it!

I drank a coffee or soda just about everyday of my last pregnancy and all was fine! I’ll continue to do so this pregnancy. Keep in mind if you cut out all caffeine while pregnant but start drinking it again once baby is here and plan to breastfeed. It could cause the baby to become fussy or wakeful since they haven’t had any previous exposure :)

I’m still drinking coffee but significantly cut down on the amount. Only drinking 1 cup in the morning and one decaf in the afternoon. It’s what I did my first pregnancy too. I will occasionally have a second cup of caffeinated coffee when I work 12 hour shifts at work and have to be up for 18 hrs

I actually asked my doctor office yesterday because I’ve been drinking 1 cup of coffee since I found out I was pregnant last Thursday. I was told 1 cup a day is fine. I’m wondering what others people’s thoughts are on this. I’m 4 weeks 1 day and definitely don’t want to do anything wrong to affect anything!

I had a little bit a couple days early on but even tho I am a DIE HARD coffee fan, I’ve found it is not appetizing to me anymore! They say 200mg a day or less of caffeine is ok, and a typical grande Starbucks drink has about 150 mg! Just keep in mind if you also do tea and chocolate and stuff it adds up

My midwife once told me to drink some coffee when I complained of feeling sleepy from my nausea meds. I was shocked lol as I’ve always thought it was a big no-no.

Under 200mg a day or a 12oz cup of coffee. I still drink a cup of coffee and then some unsweet tea or caffeine free Diet Coke with water too of course.

I have one coffee a day and one decaf tea. I read that decaf coffee increases risk of miscarriage if you have more than 3 cups a day. 
Who knows, google tells all sorts of stories. I’ve yet to speak with my midwife. X

I drink coffee. But I just had a MC back in March and so I switched to 1/2 caf just because I’m paranoid.

I am not having any coffee and stopped drinking it a month or so before I got pregnant. I decided to cut out all caffeine because I believe it may affect my stomach. Some days are hard to stay awake and motivated but I have managed so far!
