Is my friend wrong for smoking whilst pregnant?

My friend is currently 14 weeks pregnant and she's suffered bad with sickness. She also has had many medications that really do not work or help at all. She smokes a little joint in the morning and her sickness stops! At first I thought wtf she doesn't smoke and why would she do it now???

Little did I know the great use it has for her instantly. Firstly is there a better option for her I don't think it's right smoking weed!!! I'm worried as this is very out of character for her and thought I'd ask others what helped you with sickness. Drugs is not the answer!

EDIT- it is my business as she's coming to me for advice regarding this... I was just asking for other's advice incase there's something that hasn't been recommended. The drs don't give two shits about her sickness they just throw medication at her.
