Constant cramping and hot flashes/sweats at 35 weeks- ideas on causes?

Ona

Hey ladies!

I'm currently 35+2 with my second boy. Yesterday when I woke up I noticed this cramping feeling in my lower abdomen- very similar to slight menstrual cramps. They were constant so I was unable to tell timing if they were contractions or BH, and I would say my "pain level" was a 2 or 3 and never got more intense- so not painful just uncomfortable.

I went in to labor and delivery to get checked for early labor because I also had some other concerning and confusing symptoms- which they determined I was not in labor, and not having any noticeable contractions. But they had no ideas as to why I'm cramping. They did not check my cervix. It did not stop yesterday, went through the night and is still occurring now, though the intensity is closer to a 1 today. But today I have also experienced howls flashes and sweating, even though I'm sitting still in the A/C and drinking cold water.

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this constant cramping, and the hot flashes/ sweats? Did the Dr's know what it was with you?

Could it be some weird early labor symptom?

I'll be bringing it up to my NP on Tuesday at my next appointment, but I'd like to hear some similar stories if there are any.
