Confused

I met this guy about a month ago. We’re both local. I have split custody with my ex husband, so there’s certain days during the week I have my son and kind of prefer if he isn’t here on those days. I just don’t want to introduce him to my son yet.

He is a paramedic and works 12 hr shifts. He’s been over once, but since then has said he was going to come over three other times and flaked. Once was understandable—he had a death in the family; once he overslept and got behind on doing stuff around the house; today—he had no excuse—just didn’t Mention the fact we’d talked about him coming over today on Friday at all.

He initiates 90 percent of our texts, texts me first thing in the morning every day with “good morning beautiful”, added me on Facebook, etc

He talks about he can’t wait to see me….

I’m so confused though….should I move on to someone else since he’s being flaky? I’m 34 and he is 39. He doesn’t have any kids, so it’s not that.
