How many times a week are you and your SO engaging in sex?

My husband is 24 and I am 21. We just got married last year and we only have sex once a week (two if I’m lucky.) He refuses to have sex on his workdays which is Sunday-Wednesday. He says it’s just being a “responsible adult” it really agitates me and it’s not like I want to do it 25/8. Even when he’s not working he doesn’t want to do it. Every time he says “We can tomorrow” but when tomorrow comes it’s the same thing, over and over. I’m always the one initiating it too. I want to have sex with my husband because I’m attracted to him and love him and I just want to be close to him. I’ve tried talking to him about it before and he says “Sorry I just need to get to bed early.” He doesn’t have to be in till 8am but gets up at 5 so it’s not like he’s struggling getting up and going in the mornings. Am I just getting upset over nothing?

Yikes. 😅 I'm pretty much in the same situation as your husband. I'm the one working and I have to be at work at 7:30, but I get up at 5. I also tend to put it off on my workdays because I usually head to bed by 8-9 because if I don't, I won't sleep well. And I have insomnia so I'm always tired. We still try to at least 2-3 times every week, but I've been guilty of promising to, and it not happening because I'm just tired or forgot or just wouldn't be able to focus, which I always felt was unfair to him. But he's my husband so I worked on that and now when we agree to, I sacrifice sleep or cleaning or whatever to keep that commitment that we both need. 
At any given time in a relationship it takes a little bit of sacrifice and a whole lot of understanding. So try to understand where he's coming from. It's not unreasonable to want intimacy, but if he's genuinely too stressed or tired, that could affect his performance, so keep that in mind. But also let him know how you feel, and that "responsible adults" in a relationship work together to take care of each other's needs. Sometimes that means sacrificing a little sleep. Newly married here, maybe 1 a week twice sometimes. we’ve been together 6 years now. I think we have a mutual understanding. What kind of job does yours work? Mine is a mechanic. He’s very tired and me being pregnant and working... same lol. Also consider their mental health. If they are busy and work and have things on their mind sex is probably last thing they’re thinking of. I wouldn’t take it personal. ❤️ respect their boundaries if it’s a few certain days he can’t handle it then he can’t. But don’t self sabotage I’m sure you’re an amazing wife and beautiful. I use to do this. It’s never a “you” thing just try to be optimistic and maybe less talking of it will be more helpful since if they feel pressured to have more sex it feels more like obligation and who wants that. 😅

We've been together for 12 years and married for 8. Plus 4 kids. We still have sex 3-4 times a week. We make time for it and still thoroughly enjoy sex with each other.

Currently I’m having stomach issues and pain so we do it whenever I’m not suffering 😂 before this it was a few times a week. Early in our relationship it was 5 times a day 😂 I’d like to go back to that but man do I like sleep also the pain is too much for me to do it that often.
