Any other new moms feel extremely emotional about their baby?

My daughter is exactly one week old today 😭 I can’t believe she’s been here a week already.  I have cried every day thinking about how she’ll never be a tiny newborn again and how time will go so quickly with her growing each day. It makes me soooo sad. I was just wondering if anyone else feels like this and if it gets any easier? I don’t feel depressed I just feel so emotional when I think about her and the moment she was born I just don’t want to forget any of it.

My girls are 3 and 2. You won't ever forget it and it is such an exciting time. She won't be little forever and thats sad but it gets better watching them grow. Their first words, first steps, when they start sleeping through the night... so yeah its totally normal to be emotional but eventually you won't be sad about it and look forward to watching them grow.

I did this for the first 2-3 weeks.... I think it’s just the hormones postpartum! Instead of baby blues, I would cry every morning thinking how much I loved her, how I wanted her to stay tiny and new forever, and how grateful I was to be a mom (had fertility issues).
Once my hormones regulated, I still have those thoughts and appreciation but no more daily crying :)
