Hey everyone! Today I'm 39+2 weeks and this is my first pregnancy with baby girl. My due date is 3rd of June.

Our doctor asked us to come at 39+5 to last scan & NST & some lab work/meeting with an anesthesiologist for epidural and if the baby girl will not come by herself naturally until 1st of June, we'll have a epidural c-section on 2nd of June.

Doctor told us that after 40 weeks, there is no need to keep the baby inside and there are a lot of babies that pooped and sucked first poop inside the uterus and it's very dangerous for the baby's health. She said, this is her style and she saw a lot of bad experience just because insisting to keep and wait for baby to come naturally after 40 weeks.

However, me and hubby are not very comfortable with this. We always wanted to have natural-drug free birth experience. Well, if c-section needed for baby's and my health, of course we will go for it but we don't want to jump into it without even wait a bit after due date. I know a lot of woman have natural birth even after 41 weeks and have a healthy baby.

Also, I know that after c-section your milk may come late or not at all and that's the last thing we want.

So, I wonder whether you have similar experiences with your babies and how did you decide and how it went afterwards.
