When to tell

I’m 31 years old this is the first time i’ve ever had a positive test. According to the app im around 6 weeks. I’ve decided to not tell anyone even family until closer to the 13weeks. The only people I’ve told is the father and my sister because I need her help. I’m nervous about people knowing before then because if something happens i don’t want a bunch of people messaging me and talking to me about it. Is waiting to tell anyone the right decision?

I agreed with the other ladies, totally up to you and what is best for you. I’m 35 and first pregnancy, currently 4w5d and going to tell my brother and SIL this weekend then will look at just telling immediate family and two closest friends until after at least the 12 week mark. Not 100% sure when we will tell them just yet though as we are in lockdown and want to tell people face to face so depending on how long we are locked down for we might end up telling most after our 7 week scan. I figure if something goes wrong I would end up telling these people for support anyway so therefore when we tell them doesn’t really matter.

Its personal choice, so no one can tell you what's best for you. Some people tell early as if something did happen they appreciate the support, either way what ever will be will be whether you tell early or not.
