Where in the US does everyone live?

And why do you like it there? Or does anyone have recommendations for a great town to raise a family in?

We are interested in -

- east coast, north of North Carolina (currently live in NJ) and not wanting to go too far west

- preferably democratic state, with strict gun laws

- not too rural, but also not a city

- great schools

- near lots of parks, things to do, no further than 20 min to a Costco, Dunkin’ (bonus if there’s a wawa) and hopefully by a beach!
