Help! 37 +4

Hey ladies! I need some help or insight!

I’m 37 weeks and 4 days and last night I went to the hospital for a rash and when they hooked me up to the monitor I was having contractions every 2-3 mins so they kept me 4 hours, my cervix was high and dilated to a 3 and since I didn’t dilate more in 2 hours they sent me home.

Is there anything I can do to bring on real labor? I’ll try walking and yoga ball and sex, but how long can I stay at 3cm and I can be having consistent contractions and still not be in actual labor? So confusing
