teething baby?

it is normal for babies to get fevers and be fussy while teething right? this is my second but it’s been over a year and I don’t remember but my 4 month old is teething and she’s been extremely fussy not even going to sleep at night and barely taking naps.. she’s also a little hot and has been wanting me to hold her a lot.

I'd say low grade fevers would be normal while teething but at 4 months teething wouldn't be my first thought. Make sure baby's urine doesn't smell off because it could definitely be a uti.

Yes, they can teeth as early as that. Some are even born with teeth (rarely, but just to give a reference point). My child teethed for a long time and it was very painful. Most of her floated up and down before staying above the gum line, and they bled too. It’s was very hard to watch. I did all the things. Teething gel and tablets. They also make a nighttime gel that is slightly more concentrated. I did frozen fruits, gel toys, wash cloths, and pedia-pops too. I also, alternated acetaminophen and Tylenol every four to six hours on the days I knew she was struggling. 
I have had nine knee surgeries, an appendectomy, tonsils and wisdom teeth removed, and a vaginal delivery (but totally had an epidural cause those contractions were no joke). And honestly, my wisdom teeth were up there in the pain scale. The mouth is super sensitive. Some babies are never phased but mine was miserable. Hope this helps and good luck.
